PALIS FOUNDAΤΙΟΝ was established aiming the rise of the historical and cultural heritage of Greece, in a relative frame with the European and world historical and cultural heritage.
More specifically, in foundation aims are included the presentation of Greece trajectory and fights of Greeks through time, for their constitution as a Nation and independent self-contained country.
In foundation’s aims and objectives are included also the continuous search, discovery, collection, classification, study, maintenance and exhibit of historical heirlooms related with the Greek Revolution, the modern history of Greece, the fights and wars that marked our nation’s course to the constitution as a modern European country.
The final objective is to create a synchronous Museum of War History, with accent in the Greek history and in relative frame with the European and world history. This Museum, that will have beneficial to the public and a not-speculative character, will include heirlooms regarding the history of military equipment, archival and photographic material and it will collaborate with equivalent European and international museums.
Foundation’s thematic collections are unique in Greek level, in plenitude and in uniqueness of the objects and sure are competitive to equivalent collections, private or not, from and besides Europe.
The foundation has already established a branch in Michigan of USA, aiming to collect heirlooms and historical objects (as military planes, vehicles etc) but also to develop collaborations with museums and corporations as to exchange exhibits, to organize congresses, to exchange studies etc.
Finally, according to foundation’s beneficial character and ?as a minimal homage? for the officers of the Greek Armed Forces that sacrificed their lives or got injured during duty implementations, the foundation aims to establish an aid for them or their families.
